Understanding the reports dashboard, available statistics, and analytics charts
Reports Dashboard
The Reports section provides comprehensive statistics and analytics across your organisation. Access it via Reports in the main navigation (Head Office users only).
Dashboard Overview
The main dashboard displays:
- Current Period Summary - Key metrics for the selected funding period
- Period Comparison - Side-by-side comparison of the last 4 funding periods
- Interactive Charts - Visual representations of your data
Available Metrics
Submission Status Breakdown
See exactly where each submission is in the workflow:
- Draft - Started but not sent to parents
- Sent to Parent / In Progress - Awaiting parent completion
- Parent Submitted - Completed by parent, awaiting staff review
- Under Review - Being reviewed by staff
- Approved / Rejected - Final status
- Exported - Sent to local authority
Nursery Breakdown
For each active nursery, view:
- Total registered children
- Number of submissions for the period
- Approved vs pending vs rejected counts
- Total funded hours claimed
Click on a nursery name to view its detailed report.
Funding Type Analysis
- Universal (15 hours) - Count and total hours
- Extended (30 hours) - Count and total hours
- EYPP Consents - Parents who consented to EYPP application
- DAF Consents - Parents who consented to DAF application
Age Group Breakdown
See how many children fall into each age category:
- Under 2 years
- 2 years
- 3 years
- 4 years
- 5+ years
Submission Trends (30 Days)
A line chart showing daily activity:
- Created - New submissions started
- Submitted - Completed by parents
- Approved - Approved by staff
Nursery Detail Reports
Click 'View Details' on any nursery to see:
- List of all children at that nursery
- Submission status for each child
- Hours per week being claimed
- Funding type (Universal/Extended)
- Children without submissions highlighted
Filtering Options
- Period Selector - Switch between funding periods
- Nursery Filter - Filter nursery breakdown (in detail views)
Chart Data
Charts are interactive and can be downloaded. The system provides JSON endpoints for:
- Workflow distribution pie chart
- Funding type breakdown
- 30-day submission trend line chart
Tip: Review the reports dashboard regularly during submission periods to identify nurseries that may need follow-up on outstanding submissions.
