Understanding your parent dashboard, pending declarations, and account features
Your Parent Dashboard
After logging in to the Parent Portal, you'll see your personal dashboard. This is your central hub for managing funding declarations for all your children.
Dashboard Sections
Welcome Message
Shows your name and any important announcements from your nursery or the system.
Pending Declarations
The main section showing declarations that need your attention:
| Status | What It Means | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|
| Awaiting Completion | New declaration ready for you | Complete and sign |
| In Progress | You've started but not finished | Continue and complete |
| Corrections Needed | Nursery needs you to fix something | Review feedback, update, resubmit |
| Under Review | Nursery is checking your submission | Wait for nursery |
| Complete | Approved by nursery | No action needed |
Each Declaration Card Shows
- Child's name - Which child the declaration is for
- Nursery name - The nursery requesting the declaration
- Funding period - The term/period (e.g., 'Spring 2025')
- Deadline - When you need to complete it by
- Status - Current state of the declaration
- Progress - How far through you are (if started)
Multiple Children
If you have multiple children at nurseries using this system, all their declarations appear on your dashboard. Each child's declaration is independent - you complete them separately.
Completed Declarations
Below pending items, you can view your submission history:
- Previously completed declarations
- Signed dates and reference numbers
- Option to download signed PDF copies
Account Menu
Click your name in the top right to access:
- My Profile - Update your contact details
- Change Password - Update your password
- Log Out - Securely sign out
Notifications
The bell icon (if shown) displays recent notifications:
- New declarations added
- Deadline reminders
- Status updates (approved/corrections needed)
Help
Click the help icon (?) to access parent-specific help content and FAQs.
Important: Complete declarations before the deadline shown. Late submissions may delay your child's funded hours.
Tip: If you have children at different nurseries, you may receive separate declarations for each. Check your dashboard regularly during funding periods.
